    Jessica Walker - Director, Principal Ballet, Jazz & Tap Teacher ADISTD, CBTS, RAD RTS, ARAD

    Jessica has been dancing since she was three years old. In 2004 she attended the International Ballet Academy in Christchurch, where she studied Ballet, Contemporary, Jazz, Singing, Drama, Pilates, Anatomy and History of Dance.

    Jessica returned home to Auckland where she attended East Auckland Performing Arts school. Here she continued her studies adding ISTD Tap and Jazz to her dance repertoire.

     

    Jessica has completed her Advanced 2 for Jazz and Ballet and also completed her certificate in Ballet Teaching Studies through the RAD as well as the ISTD Associate and Associate Diploma for Jazz.

     

    Jessica is incredibly passionate about dancing and teaching alike, and her aims are to use her own passion and skills to bring the best out in each student.

    Lisa-Marie Hallam - Ballet Teacher ADISTD, RAD RTS

    Lisa-Marie has been dancing since she was five years old and has taught for 30+ years.

    She has trained, danced and taught in both RAD and ISTD styles, teaching both in New Zealand and in England. She also has extensive experience in other dance forms, including Jazz, Contemporary, National and Cabaret.

     

    Currently Lisa-Marie is teaching part-time doing a variety of styles, and is choreographing and directing shows in Auckland and working with event companies putting together special events incorporating the arts and performance.

    ​Jeri Lomas - Ballet and Burlesque Teacher ADISTD, NTDT

    Jeri started dancing when she was 7, performing in works throughout her school and university years with Ballet Austin in Texas as well as Hysell Ballet and Loyola University in New Orleans.

     

    Jeri has studied Cecchetti, Vaganova as well as ISTD and RAD ballet exposing her to various syllabus and training techniques.

     

    Jeri is a qualified ballet teacher with a National Diploma in Teaching of Dance, ISTD Associate in Imperial Ballet and minor degree in ballet from Loyola University New Orleans. Jeri enjoys teaching all ages and encourages her students to achieve their best! 

    ​Kate Voss – Jazz, Tap & Ballet Teacher AISTD, ARAD, PGDipSci

    Kate has been dancing since she was 3 years old. In that time she has studied Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Contemporary, Stretch/Body Conditioning and Hip Hop.

     

    She has completed her Advanced 2 Exams for both Ballet, Jazz, and Tap as well as her Solo Seal exam for Contemporary.

     

    Kate has completed her ISTD associate and has completed her Post Graduate Degree in Sport and Exercise Science with Auckland University. Kate loves passing on her knowlege and passion to her students and loves to watch them progress. 

    Jeneen van Bysterveldt - Ballet Teacher BDanceSt

    Jeneen started dancing at the age of 3 after watching her older siblings in their lessons, and begging her mum for lessons of her own. From there she learnt Ballet at Fay Harbottle's Dance School in Matamata completing RAD exams from Pre-primary to grade eight, followed by Intermediate foundation and Intermediate, over fourteen years.

     

    Shortly after beginning Advanced Foundation, Jeneen moved to Auckland to complete her Bachelor of Dance at AUT and Graduate Diploma in Secondary Teaching with Auckland Uni. Returning from a year in Palmerston North where Jeneen gained experience as a Secondary school Dance Teacher, she has come to join our team of teachers where she will be teaching various levels of Ballet, alongside teaching at Botany Downs Secondary College.  

    ​Jazmine Cox - Principal Hip Hop Teacher

    Jazmine started her classic dance training in ISTD Jive, Rock n Roll, Latin American and Freestyle, as well as ballet, tap, jazz and modern dance. However after training at Pineapple Studios, Dance Works, Huskys and other prestigious studios in London, England she landed her first professional UK tour at the age of only 15 years old.

     

    From there she began to train in Street Dance, Hip Hop and Commercial dance all around the world. In collaboration with Mukhtar (Cirque du Soleil) PLAGUE UK was created which broke boundaries in Europe as the dominant Street Dance crew, 3 times winning GOLD in the UK StreetDance Championships as well as the Hip Hop International twice and the UDO.

    She has worked with Mariah Carey, F1, Sky 1, BBC, Power Rangers, Air NZ, Nike, Breakin Convention and the San Francisco Hip Hop Dance Festival and featured in 2 dance movies including BORN TO DANCE and STREETDANCE 3D.

    Jazmine is excited to teach true Hip Hop and Street dance, and pass on her passion for her favourite dance genre. 

    ​Raine Terry - Ballet Teacher BDanceSt

    Raine has been dancing since she was three years old and has been teaching since 2010.

     

    Raine studied at AUT where she completed her Bachelor of Dance.  Her studies included Ballet, Contemporary, Jazz, Body Conditioning and Anatomy. Raine has also completed her RAD Ballet teaching qualification at AUT. She has also completed her Graduate Diploma in Primary Teaching and is currently teaching.

    ​Stacey Cann - Principal Contemporary Teacher BPSA

    Stacey has been dancing since she was 5 years old where she learnt ballet and later contemporary.

     

    She moved to Auckland to study at Unitec, completing a Bachelor of Performing and Screen Arts majoring in Contemporary Dance. While training, Stacey got the opportunity to work with choreographers such as Craig Bary, Fleur de Thier, Neil Ieremia (Black Grace), Michael Parmenter and Katie Burton.

     

    Stacey has a passion for teaching and loves to share her passion of dance with her students. 

    ​Kelly Bleakley - Principal Musical Theatre Teacher GRADDIPTCHG (DRAMA)

    Kelly started her passion for musical theatre as a young child, performing in numerous shows and taking lessons in singing, dancing and acting.  She studied Jazz and Tap at Santarelli and completed her Intermediate ISTD exams.

     

    In 2010 Kelly completed a Diploma in Teaching majoring in Drama, and taught dance and drama at Avondale College for two years, and has been a choreographer for Auckland Central Gang Show since 2009. 

     

    Kelly has performed in musicals at Harlequin and Manukau theatres, including Joseph, All Shook Up and Fame. In 2014 Kelly performed in Mamma Mia at the Auckland Civic Theatre, and followed this up with Phantom of the Opera in 2016.

    ​Craig Bleakley - Principal Musical Theatre Teacher

    Craig developed a love for the performing arts at an early age having lead roles in school musicals, drama classes and playing in orchestras and concert bands around New Zealand, Australia and Hawaii. He studied singing under Lisa Lorrell, danced at Santarelli, and choreographs 80+ young people in the biennial Auckland Central Gang Show.

     

    In recent years Craig has performed both professionally and in amateur productions, receiving Best Actor and Best Supporting Actor nominations in Northern Area Performance Theatre Awards and Auckland Community Theatre Trust Awards.

     

    Show highlights have been Mamma Mia and Phantom of the Opera at the Auckland Civic Theatre, All Shook Up at Harlequin and in Blenheim, Love off the Shelf at Dolphin and Joseph at Harlequin.

    Ezra-Thomas Holliday - Hip Hop & Tap Teacher

    Ezra-Thomas Holliday comes to us from Whangarei and grew up there training in Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Musical Theatre, and Ballroom. Since moving to Auckland he has been involved in various professional shows and is currently teaching at different schools around Auckland. He is also a kids party entertainer and a part-time actor.
