About Us
Santarelli School of Dance is one of New Zealand's most versatile Dance Schools.
Our vision is to give each student our individual attention and the best tuition available as
well as teach the love of dance in a friendly, fun, but disciplined environment.
We offer classes in a wide range of dance styles such as Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop,
Contemporary, Musical Theatre, and Fitness. Our classes are suitable for all ages, girls and boys,
with varying abilities; pre-school to advanced as well as classes for adults.

With such versatility students are given the chance to explore different styles of dance
while learning from our internationally qualified and highly experienced tutors.
Students have the opportunity to sit dance exams of International Recognition, at the teachers
discretion, as well as participate in our annual end of year production.

Our Philosophy
At Santarelli School of Dance we believe that everyone should have the opportunity to explore many types of dance in the hope that it will enhance their lives with providing both a fitness and goal setting component. We seek to provide each student with an outstanding level of tuition by
qualified teachers in a positive and caring manner.

control, self-discipline and confidence.

First Time Dancer?
At some stage everyone has been a first time dancer.
It can be a bit daunting knowing what class is best, what level to start at or even what to wear.
Don’t worry we can help. First things first, all trial classes are free and
there is no obligation to continue. This is for all classes and genres we have.
​
On top of that we will chat with you about what experience (or none) you might have
and what genre would be best for you given your likes. Then we place you on the roll
and you come to a class to trial. We will tell you when the class is on,
who the teacher is and what to wear. As a general rule for a trial class it is best
to wear something that allows free movement and is comfortable.
​
Then when you love the class (we bet you do) you can either fill out an
enrolment form in the office or you can do it online on our website.
